In response to the question, “As globally enlightened citizens, how can we contribute to the well-being of our global community?” Rio answered with forgiveness.
He believes that forgiveness is an act of love—a noble virtue that embraces others’ faults and mistakes with grace and helps us grow in maturity. Rio emphasizes that in language learning, we all learn through making mistakes. Not making mistakes means we haven’t even tried, and without trying, there is no learning.
Forgiveness, he says, brings lightness to our hearts and gives us the courage to express ourselves—even when we stumble. It brings us closer to others and allows us to face the world with greater confidence.
Through his deep understanding of forgiveness and his bold spirit in learning, Rio is already a true global leader.
